Kristy brings her infectious humor and love of Yoga to each of her classes. A mother of two wonderful kids, 21 and 8, Kristy decided against re-entering the “rat race” after the birth of her daughter and instead chose to spend her days teaching what she loves. Her classes are an uplifting blend incorporating movement, static postures, breathing techniques and meditation for stress reduction. Kristy also offers classes to people living with Multiple Sclerosis thru the MSF. She is currently studying to complete her 1200 hr Therapeutic Yoga certification with JJ Gormley-Etchells, (a 5-year student of TKV and Kausthub Desikachar). A certified yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance, Kristy opened The Barefoot Yoga Studio in hopes of offering the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga to everyone who wishes to experience it.

Sarah became a RYT-200 certified instructor in the YogaWorks method in 2009. She began practicing yoga in the Bikram tradition in 2006 as an opera singer who wanted to tone her body. Along her journey, she has come to understand yoga as so much more than just physical; she practices yoga as a form of devotion, healing and self-study. Her teaching style is influenced largely by the meditative flow and heat of Vinyasa yoga and the alignment, intelligence and awareness of the Iyengar tradition. Her primary teachers are Tzahi Moskowitz, Sigrid Pichler, and Fay Simpson. Sarah specializes in teaching singers and performers how to incorporate yoga techniques into their art form to help open and strengthen their bodies in ways that improve their craft. She is particularly interested in how our chakras (or energy centers) can be activated to connect us more deeply with our true selves and our audiences. Sarah holds a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music.
