Kristy brings her infectious humor and love of Yoga to each of her classes. A mother of two wonderful kids, 19 and 6, Kristy decided against re-entering the “rat race” after the birth of her daughter and instead chose to spend her days teaching what she loves. Her classes are an uplifting blend incorporating movement, static postures, breathing techniques and meditation for stress reduction. Kristy also offers classes to people living with Multiple Sclerosis thru the MSF. She is currently studying to complete her 1200 hr Therapeutic Yoga certification with JJ Gormley-Etchells, (a 5-year student of TKV and Kausthub Desikachar). A certified yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance, Kristy opened The Barefoot Yoga Studio in hopes of offering the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga to everyone who wishes to experience it.

Tammy began on her yoga path in 1998 after being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. A search for happiness and health in her life brought her to yoga. She began teaching in 1999 when her yoga teacher moved away and her classmates needed a teacher. This set into motion Tammy’s lifelong journey of yoga study. Inspired with the balance, contentment and awareness yoga brought to her life, sharing yoga with others is her passion. Tammy is a Certified Yoga Alliance Teacher 200 HR. Her studies include Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa flow yoga. She is also a Reiki II practitioner. “It is my intention for each class to create a space for compassion, transformation and healing. Each class is a form of moving meditation in which we use the body and the breath to quiet our minds so that we may listen to the wisdom of our own intuition, our Inner Voice. "

Kayla started practicing yoga five years ago as a form of relief from years of gymnastics and day to day stresses at work as a Rehab Tech at the Twin Cities Hospital. Wanting to help others through holistic means she became a certified yoga instructor in 2007. Kayla is a humorous and passionate teacher with a lot of energy. She incorporates Iyengar’s style of prop usage, focus on alignment, and modifications with enough freedom for students to have an individual pace. Her background as an athlete and Rehab Tech. has given her the ability to use her personality and understanding of the human body to let students find their own strength, grace and peace in her class.  We are very excited she is starting this fresh path with us as our newest instructor.
